We the People!

Posted on Nov 13th, 2007 by WhiteWolf : White Wolf has left the building... WhiteWolf
I really didn't want to get into politics, I have too much to do in trying to bring the people together, but more and more I am hearing rumblings about the government. More and more people are feeling that our government is so disconnected from us. They complain about how our government doesn't listen to what the people want. When it comes down to it, who is to blame. We are!

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

We the People need to take back the power that we have given the government. We have become lazy and allow the government to make decisions for us. Election after election, we allow ourselves to be prodded, cajoled, wooed, and hoodwinked into voting back into office the same riff-raff that has put us in this predicament. The media has become an ally of the government performing the old slight of hand by getting you to look at Brittany's latest antics rather than what the government is up to. News has filtered out yet again on the Internet that they are trying to push through opening up the Artic Refuge for oil and gas. Of course, they figure that with higher and higher gas prices, people will look the other way as we destroy this pristine area and all the wildlife that goes with it. New reports are coming in that soldiers that are suffering what used to be called Battle Fatigue are, despite military rules to the contrary, being sent back to the front lines. The psychologists are flipping out over this. The military has rules that state that a soldier suffering battle fatigue needs to be certified to be able to return to the lines, by THEIR rules, yet they are disregarding the rules and sending these guys back into the thick of it. These are your sons and daughters!
Who is to blame? Well, I hear so many point their finger at Bush and his gang of thugs. I hear others say it is the ineffectual congress. Well folks, when you are pointing that finger take a look at where the others are pointing, right back at you! We the people long ago gave up our power, whether it be to special interests, the military industrial complex that FDR warned us about, or the whims of a disconnected Congress, or a meglomaniac President and Vice President. We the people have had the power, but we have been too lazy or too complacent to exercise it. The power of the ballot box.
When the issue of term limits was pushed out there many moons ago, some Congressmen put tongue in cheek and puffed out their chests and said, this is what the people want. They tried to push it through, but of course, failed. Then they just shook their heads, snickered to themselves and said, well, we tried. The worst of it was that we accepted that answer.
This past election we put the Democrats back in power in both houses with a supposed mandate. Once again, all bluster and bravado about how the people have issued a mandate, but when push came to shove, they blinked and gave the President everything they wanted and more. Worse yet, my Congressman, McGovern actually had the audacity to send me an email asking me to support a War Tax! In the missive were all the usual crap about how we aren't giving enough and that we need to do our patriotic duty and support this war. They must have read what Hermann Goering said at the Nuremberg Trials:
"Naturally the common people don’t want war: neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a
democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.  That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of  patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

So between the nonsense about not being patriotic if we don't support them, and the slight of hand played with Lindsay, Brittany, and Paris, the new brat pack, we the people, fold and give up. I even wroite my local Newscaster, Ed Harding about them leading with Brittany while there was a historic power shift and was told that the people want to hear about Brittany.  If the brat pack is more important that the composition of our Congress, then we deserve what we get.

We need to take back our power. WE are the people in WE THE PEOPLE! I have said this before it is time to shake up the Congress. Vote out any Congressperson or Senator who has served over two terms. Impose term limits ourselves. If they are the only candidate running because no one dares to do so, then DON'T vote for them. What kind of message does it send if a candidate wins an election that he was the only candidate with only 5% of the total vote? It might tell others that maybe they do have a chance. Maybe we can get others to run instead of the same old, same old. Vote for candidates in the other parties, you know there are other parties besides the Dems and Reps, despite what you have been led to believe. No really, I'm not lying, check it out. As for you Dems and Reps, how about you take the time to learn about the others running instead of rubber stamping the party favorites? Send us someone worthy of our vote! As for you Independents out there, oh, except Masschusetts where they don't allow independents, you are labeled, unenrolled, learn, read up on the candidates. Don't allow the media to tell you who to vote for.
It is time that we the people stopped griping and complaining and started to do something.

I agree, but doubt the voters attention or rationality for revolutionary change.  Government has become a cancer invading healthy tissue of our economy and trampling the individual liberties intended to be protected by the constitution.  But the solution suggested by mainstream media is to increase the size of the cancer to cure our problems.  It's up to us to find solutions to problems.  Government only rational purpose is to protect individuals against plunder, extortion, and force.  The rest of the functions assumed by government over the past century have actually resorted to plunder extortion and force under the guise of helping us.  Liberty is now a outdated concept that must take a backseat to all the “good” government claims to be providing.  It's fools gold.  We need another tea party.

“It is important to remember that government interference always means either violent action or the threat of such action. The funds that a government spends for whatever purposes are levied by taxation. And taxes are paid because the taxpayers are afraid of offering resistance to the tax gatherers. They know that any disobedience or resistance is hopeless. As long as this is the state of affairs, the government is able to collect the money that it wants to spend. Government is in the last resort the employment of armed men, of policemen, gendarmes, soldiers, prison guards, and hangmen. The essential feature of government is the enforcement of its decrees by beating, killing, and imprisoning. Those who are asking for more government interference are asking ultimately for more compulsion and less freedom.” - Ludwig von Mises

Jim

“We need another tea party.”
Except they will charge US with violating the Environmental Acts.

Yes, WW, but “they” will instead arrest all the tea partiers who've lost many civil rights anyway. Environmental acts have been violated by this administration more than ever…what do YOu think of the wolf hunts of late, shooting wolves from airplanes? massacering them, that is.

and hey, being in the fine blue state of Massachusetts, we dont have independents, but we do have equal marriage rights–and although i am not gay, I am proud of our state for this!

we are also the first to institute universal health care for all.

I wonder if….. what if! what if we could hold private elections and vote for people we really actually *like and hold elections on our own terms! it would be small at first and then…. if there were enough of us, we could put into place what we felt was lovely and just. i think what i mean is … what if we could act like 'they' don't exist at all? what i mean by that is…. do you remember when you were a child playing in a group and you would ignore that which you didn't like to the point that the person being ignored would either have to change to play your game or continue off on their own? well, i hear you saying that we as the people have the power. So, let's embody our power. who says we can't do whatever we want to do? at times maybe we can't only because we believe we can't. truthfully, can you imagine a governing body that was run on the principles that constantly show up at zaadz? beautiful! we truly are The People!

Mary, I think the wolf hunts are travesties. The “hunters”, and I use that term loosely, are cowards. Let them get on the ground and try their crap. A good wolf bite to the butt might change their minds. The wolf hunts are based on ignorance and the greed of people. These people are disgusting. The same mentality persists in Yellowstone where they are killing off buffalo because the ranchers want to use the park lands to graze their herds and the bufffalo are in the way. I thought these parks were created to protect the animals. I just pray that we wake up as a people and put an end to the murder of our relations before they are gone forever.
Amber, I have said the same thing about how great it would be if we just ignored the two parties and put our own candidates out there, ignoring the powers that be. Only problem is that we would need critical mass. “They” still have the military and would put down any insurrection in a violent way. That has been our dark past and until we the people decide that enough is enough, will continue to be so.

WhiteWolf, I am glad you exist in the world. I think that most 'hunting' of this day and age is better termed “killing” for my understanding of hunting is one in which the animal being hunted is seen as an extention of one's self and is treated with respect through the entire experience. A friend tells me a story of how she went hunting with her father and her father shot a deer. The deer was still alive when her father went over and caressed it's head, whispering his thanks until the deer had passed. I've read stories where an animal has offered it's self to the hunter, removing it's self from the pack, or walking towards the hunter when that would seem insane or contrary to it's survival. Also, I recently spoke to a man who was camping out in the desert and a pack of wolves visited him for several nights. He would awake in the morning and find their pawprints right up to the edge of his tent. If they wanted to harm him, they could have. One night they surrounded his tent and sang to him. He poked his head out and the leader of the pack and himself looked at each other and he felt the wolf say in his mind that they were checking him out but that they couldn't figure him out and were singing in honor of their differences. Later, they left and didn't return though he could hear them singing on the remainder of his night there from a distance. I find it very, very disturbing to come up against certain mentalities that claim that animals are soul-less or worse. I don't know if all of our people will wake up. I do feel however that the Creator would not subject his People to this existance forever. In some ways, I feel as though we have been infiltrated by a group outside our Universe. That may sound far-fetched but I really can't explain it to myself any other way; how we can be faced with so much Truth and yet abandon it like there are not real consequences to our every action. If I believe in any law it is the Law of Cause and Effect. Yes, we would need Critical Mass. Therefore, our speaking on this and spreading our msg's anyway we can is Vital. In that respect I am grateful that we have spoken on this. Please, surround yourself with the Light and hold strong. I do believe a new world is coming.

I so agree,
I cannot understand how such hunting or killing can be allowed, yet it seems such activities seem to be as sport to such who indulge their time in cruelty, inflicting terror and harm on others either animals or humans.

I do believe that what you say holds truth also, this will not continue, many years have passed, many have witnessed distress and pain but now like shaking a flea from her back Mother Earth is changing, as all is, a great river flowing cannot be held back by fear, torture, terror or greed.
Harming the wolves is very wrong, every inch of my being knows that it is our place to protect and live side by side with our wildlife and brothers and sisters.
Many more are moving toward change everyday….

I have an idea of how we can win and it is a concept that was stated by Jesus.  It is to “love your enemies'….By that I mean to pray for them because prayer is thought transmissions. Many people praying is a critical mass. Thoughts are powerful, they are the word sent and the word sent will accomplish what we send  it out to do…..

Sure we can complain and in doing so we are not really getting a whole lot done. I am not saying that stating the problem is wrong for it informs people and people need to know what it is that is wrong. But there is Something Else other than state the problem that we can do.   Neville Goddard in his book “Feeling is the Secret” explained the basics of thought transmissions.

He said

Your unexpressed convictions of others are transmitted to them without their conscious knowledge or consent, and if subconsciously accepted by them will influence their behavior.

But our unexpressed convictions of others are so often based on only our sense seeing of any situation.  He said that it is not what we want that we attract, it is what we believe to be true that we attract…..

What we are not aware of which would be helping us mightily if we but knew more about it ,  is the “Law of Reversibility”  and that law has everything to do with quantum physics.

Neville explains that all transformations of a force are reversible and he goes into great detail which I can not do in this comment, but I will post what he had to say on my blog for today.  It is my wish that we people learned about the Law of Reversibility…..because in my humble opinion, it may be our only hope.

I do agree Diana and a very real and quantum reality,
that is why when I am educated and informed of such things I do pray, see and feel with all my heart, with loving intention the healing of the planet, people, animals, oceans, rivers, wildlife, trees, nature, all Mother Earth.
I see the time when those afflicted and in pain will be healed and free.
I give thanks for all the beauty upon the Earth and see it as perfect and precious.
I send out my intention when I sing, dance, talk and feel compassion.
I do feel that there is a lot of good things happening everyday, there are those things which we hear that concern us and activate intention and change for the better.
We cannot forget our past, it does help to make us who we are as we learn and grow from its lessons.
When we are told of events past or present it helps shape our reality and intentions, we can choose to embrace peace or conflict, I choose peace and hope to see many who have desired it for so long experience abundance and taste their freedom.

On a learning journey much is brought into consciousness but all for a good reason, to understand, relate, experience, within all these lessons comes a recipe of expressions, emotions and choices.
I agree with you there are things we can do at our level of consciousness, however small they count in a big way.
Everday choices, realistic intention but all encompassing love and compassion for those who do not know what they do.
For it is when we do know, that a great responsibility lies with the way showers.
We have learned from the great way showers of the past with their words, actions, love courage and strength, and I am still learning..
There is time for all things, the time for peace and understanding is well underway, we have a way to go, but in time….We will.

Giving thanks to the Creator for the lessons we learn…

You said that so beautifully. I wonder if you have ever read Ken Carey's book entitled, “The Return of the Bird Tribe”.  He talks about White Buffalo Calf Woman and the PeaceMaker in this book and it is very informative…..I typed the entire book, I loved it so much and I send it to anyone interested as an email attachment.  He talks about the tree of war and the tree of the long leaves that is the tree of peace.  His words are like poetry and speak straight to the heart…. and ring so true…..I just wish that the entire world could hear his words…. for he talks much about the way of peace in that book….

The government isn't going to change. Big money has government bought and paid for.    This we have isn't capitalism or socialism. It is Machiavellianism, where political expediency is placed above morality,  characterized by unscrupulous cunning and deception.  We've got one on one communication.  What we've got to do is to build faith in our individual answers.  The carpetbaggers in public office will wither and fall off the vine. Who needs them or their high roller masters?
